This was the first year that the Polo School Foundation has offered mini grants to the Polo teachers. The committee set their priorities and selected grants that fit the criteria set below.
§ Projects that materially benefit District students’ educational needs;
§ Projects that encourage innovative instruction and improve the overall learning process;
§ Projects that enrich and supplement the District’s educational programs;
All requests were of value, however the vision of this committee was to excite the classroom environment and encourage teachers to bring in innovative ideas to the classroom. So, grants were selected that had an immediate impact on the students in the classroom.
